After 13 years the Mela returns...

Bradford City Mela 2026 marks the long-awaited return of one of the UK’s most significant South Asian cultural festivals, taking place in City Park and Centenary Square over the weekend of 1–2 August.
The event aims to celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of Bradford’s communities through a dynamic showcase of music, dance, art, food, and heritage. With a strong community focus, the Mela is built around four core mission objectives:
-
Civic Unity, promoting harmony among Bradford’s diverse populations;
-
Accessibility, ensuring an inclusive experience for all regardless of age, ability, or background;
-
Sustainability, through environmentally conscious planning and infrastructure;
-
Empowerment, by spotlighting local artists, traders, and community voices.
Free and open to all, the 2026 Mela promises an immersive cultural experience rooted in pride, participation, and creative expression. #BCM2026
